NEWS HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY HOMICIDE VICTIM (Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified the victim of a fatal assault with a firearm on August 14, 2012, as Errol Campbell, 46, of East Hartford, Connecticut. At approximately 7:15 p.m., on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, officers responded to a report of a serious assault with a firearm in the vicinity of 82 Sterling Street. On arrival at the scene, the victim was located suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Saint Francis Hospital by ambulance for treatment. He was pronounced deceased by hospital personnel at 8:10 p.m. Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are investigating the incident.
