HARTFORD POLICE NARCOTICS AND FIREARMS INVESTIGATIONS RESULT IN EIGHT ARRESTS AND SEIZURE OF ASSAULT WEAPON
Ramon Quinones. Today, at approximately 6:40 a.m., members of the HPD's Violent Crime Impact Team and Intelligence Division executed a search and seizure warrant at 866-868 Park Street for Firearms. During the search and seizure police seized a .38 caliber revolver with six live rounds of ammunition, one assault weapon, a 995 Hi-Point 9mm with ten live rounds, 140 bags of Heroin, two grams of crack cocaine, and $10004.00 in U.S. Currency. Arrested was Ramon "Chongo" Quinones, DOB 8/8/79, of 866-868 Park Street, who was charged with criminal possession of a pistol, possession of narcotics, possession of a machine gun, possession with intent to sell (PWITS), possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school, stealing a firearm, and risk of injury. Quinones remains in custody on $750,000 bond.

Oscar Martinez and Angel Torres. On June 20th at 2:30 p.m., in response to numerous citizen complaints of illegal drug activity in the area of the Sands Housing Complex, and months of investigation by members of the Hartford Police Department's Northeast Vice and Narcotics Unit, police arrested Oscar Martinez, DOB 7/28/87, of 51 New Donald Street, Hartford and Angel Torres, DOB 7/6/75, of 73 Haskin Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. Both were arrested at 51 New Donald Street, and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school with a court date of July 2, 2007.. Martinez was also charged with possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and his bond was set at $30,000. Torres' bond was set at $15,000. See mugshots below.
Shelby Lindsey and
David March. On June 20th detectives of the HPD's Vice and
Narcotics Division were conducting a mobile surveillance in the upper Albany
Avenue area in the vicinity of Sigourney Street. Detectives observed a
white Ford Taurus being operated by a White male slowing down attempting to
flag down several pedestrian in the area. Eventually a Black male
enter the vehicle and a narcotics transaction was observed. After the
transaction the Black male exited the vehicle which then drove off south on
Sterling. The suspect, Shelby Lindsey, DOB 12/14/85, of 10 Liberty Street,
Hartford, was taken into custody after a foot chase and charged with three
courts of PWITS of narcotics, two counts interfering with police, tampering
with evidence, two counts of possession of narcotics, and possession of
narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school. Lindsey's bond was set at
$350,000. The operator of the White, 1996 Ford Taurus, David March,
DOB 8/29/56, of 294 Chester Street, East Hartford, was charged with
possession of narcotics. March's bond was set at $25,00 and has a
court date of July 2, 2007. He vehicle, the !996 Ford Taurus was
