Drinking in Public
Consuming or possessing an open container of alcohol in public view, a person would receive a misdemeanor summons and have to appear in community court.
Creating or causing unreasonable or excessive noise regardless of the time of day. Noise plainly audible at a distance of 100 yards from it's source is excessive; in the case of a loud amplification device the distance is 100 feet. Examples of violations are loud stereos in vehicles or homes, loud noise from the mechanical operation of a vehicle, unnecessary use of a vehicle's horn, or other noise disturbances. Person could be fined or arrested.
Blocking the sidewalk or passage ways could constitute an obstruction of free passage. Trespassing on school grounds or private property is also a violation. A person could be fined or arrested.
Any person under the age of 18 years old, who is loitering in a public place between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. without adult supervision will be in violation of the curfew laws and would receive a summons and have to appear in court.
Any person found in the city parks between dusk and dawn will be in violation of a city ordinance and would receive a summons to appear in court.

the quality of life in the City of Hartford.
